As an Artist.

Tonya Barnes, esteemed photographer, blurs the lines between art and photography combining both passions. In turn, creating beauty out of mystery and darkness. Utilizing her own unusual designs and techniques she creates pieces, such as blind masks, wet-look body casts and macrame lingerie, for her clients to feel sensual, sexy and anonymous. Her style is spontaneous, letting the art unfold as she creates it. Living her whole life as an artist; following her heart, and knowing her influence is essential to this world, gives her the confidence and that powerful feeling to keep creating. She lives for her art, and her art keeps her living.

Hafa Adai!

When people ask me what type of photographer I am, I tell them "I photograph what my eyes are drawn to." I can find beauty, chaos and a message in everything I see. I've never been a person who can easily express herself with words, so I have learned to tell my stories and emotions with images and photographs. My methods are unorthodox when it comes to photography and am often "called out" on my theory, design and concepts - in the end, Photography is more something I do for myself. It's how I heal.
